Day 5, 21 Nov 2008
Verona, reminds me of the romantic epic of Romeo & Juliet. This was a peaceful and loving town, quiet, refreshing and calming. First spot we were brought to was nonetheless the famous Balcony of Romeo & Juliet.
The balcony for Juliet
A bronze statue of Juliet
Believe it or not, couples from all over the world had actually written their love wishes, and pasted on this piece of wall, praying for eternity love.
Then, it was shopping time. I spent about 2 hours to explore the area nearby.
A Piazza, with Colosseum and a District Court
The entrance of the shopping district. I bought few bottles of perfume here.
Exotic window decoration of Louis Vuitton, with Damier Azur Galliera MM & PM
An open-air market, selling souvenirs, leather goods, blouses, fruits and local delicacy. This is where I bought 2 leather wallets for mum & dad.
Time flies, and it was lunch time. The good food for today was tomato cheesy thin crust pizza, chicken steak + red wine.
So it was time to say good bye to Verona, and we continued our journey to Milan. By the time we reached Milan, it was about 7pm. Milan, an orientation of Italy's most fashionable city. Once we arrived, I could see the modern buildings, infrastructure, and great night life. This is where I bought my first pair of leather high heels :)
As usual, we were served the chinese style dinner. After filling our stomach, we took a stroll at the supermarket nearby, where we saw plenty of gourmet and fresh fruits. Tonight, we resided at Quark Hotel.
