China - Day3 *Shanghai City Tour*

21 Nov 2010

Let's get away from the hassle city, and indulge ourselves into the historical side of Shanghai at The Bund, about 1.5km, lining at HuangPu River. You will be amazed with her beauty.

Lunch

After the lunch, we took the Sightseeing Tunnel to get to the Oriental Pearl Tower at Lu Jia Zui.

Sightseeing Tunnel

The Oriental Pearl Tower has the height of 468m, and it is actually a TV tower. The lift carried us up to 263m sightseeing floor. From there, we walked down the staircase to 259m crystal glass-floor sightseeing floor. This was indeed a thrilling experience to walk in the clouds above the city.

Not easy to earn a living

After visiting the tower, we went back to The Bund. Since it was nearly evening, we hopped on to the double-decker city sightseeing bus. It was a 24-hour ticket, RMB30, whereby it stops at 13 major tourist spots. We could hop on and hop off at any station we want, within 24 hours starting from the first time the ticket is being scanned and used. I strongly recommend this, as it is time-saving, and u could plan your route easily. We hopped on at 4pm, and made a big round for about an hour to enjoy the scenery of Shanghai. Then, we kept the ticket for next day.
