Moving my ass - 1 Dec 09
What could possibly happen when 3 ladies went together for a trip?? To us, it is highly defined as a shopping trip, of course that's our ultimate goal, especially in Hong Kong. However, it would be rather blunt if a trip is purely on shopping. That's why, we decided to go Macau as well, to enjoy the mixture culture of Portugal & Asian.
The flight from Kuching to Macau was not really an impressive one. Airasia itself was not much of a problem. But when you were surrounded by China people, talking in exceptionally loud and high pitch voice, ignoring ur existance at once, things might just get a little out of hand. Not done yet, eating KFC and drinking can drinks, digging food from the overhead compartment, walking up and down on the aisle, standing in a big gang beside u, playing porker card while banging on the front eating tray......... Worst experience I ever had with China people. Where's the definition of civilised?
Now everyone can fly... really EVERYONE!
It took about 4 hours to reach Macau, and it was 8pm when we landed. Since WC would only arrive about half an hour later, so we waited for her at the arrival hall. The hotel we rented, Best Western Sun Sun, was about 30 minutes ride from the airport. I paid an additional of MOP960 for an extra bed and bigger room, since there were 3 of us.After dumping away our luggage, we started our journey, though it was a bit late.
We saw this historical building after walking for 10 minutes
Cross the main road, Avenida De Almeida Bibeiro, and u will encounter this useful road sign
Leal Senado Building
Holy House of Mercy
Senado Square
St Dominic's Church
Avenida De Almeida Bibeiro - Main Road full of shops. Rather similar to Nathan Road at HK
Dinner, or Supper? Super nice rice noodle soup, and super king size!
Grand Lisboa Casino - Opens your Eyes!
After the casino sneak preview, we walked back to the hotel, as it was really late. We needed some good sleeps in order to fully prepare ourselves for the next day. While walking back, I bought a few siu mai selling at road side hawker stall. I was really full at that time, but was dying to try out the dim sum. Chili sauce wasn't exist, and the hawker gave me soya sauce instead. Soya sauce + siu mai.... weird!
